This is big news and opens the playoffs to the much coveted back east markets. It definitely raises the value and visibility of the FCS and opens up some regular season scheduling opportunities.

You might be short sighted. This is a step up. Next years title will be more coveted, in front of more fans.

They are right up there with NIU and Norte Dame aren’t they? Just as good as a lot of MWC teams too.
Most FBS teams better than NDSU won’t schedule or invite NDSU into their conference. Some university presidents of major FBS conferences openly discourage any association.
because they have secret cults often associated with devil worship, human sacrifice and sexual abominations doesn’t mean they aren’t good people. Look at minnesota, You still shop target right? I don’t but you get my point.
For me it’s new blood, new markets and new revenues. I don’t like traveling east of TH 59 and that’s a little deep into communist territory so I’ll never attend one of those back-east games anyway but they should be a big deal.
Lucky Fargo banned flavored tobacco products. It will help protect those poor back-east liberals when they come to town next year for the big FCS play-off game. Nothing says back-east like that kind of governing.

Maybe the FCS should create a couple first round at large play-off spots for the top 2 teams passed over for the FBS CFP? They could eliminate the back-east Ivy teams. We wouldn’t have to sully ourselves and could pick up a much coveted FBS game in the second or third round.

Besides if “Harvard” wants to come to Fargo for an annual pummeling that’s fine but Bison coaches better be aware: The Ivy schools are really good at the X’s & O’s.

Re: Ivy League is in the 2025 PlayOffs
Sagarin shows the Ivy League looks almost identical to the MVFC starting with und on down. Having the best Ivy team in town is a lot like und or southern Ill this year.
The worst teams in the Ivy aren’t going to be in the playoffs. Only 1 will make it. The 2 best teams in the Ivy League this year are Harvard and Yale almost identical rankings as und and SIU.
Would NDSU be that strong compared to the cfp field?

As a league the Ivy is in the middle of the pack. No question their best team belongs in the FCS playoffs. They will take the spot of an undeserving at-large
