Thanks. All went well. Was in surgery for only 45 minutes. Left and went to have lunch. Went back to the hotel as I got tired.

Woke up 3 hours later and have never felt better. You know how old peoples feet and ankles can get a little swollen after sitting for periods of time? The pacemaker has made my heart more efficient where that swelling has gone away also.

Glad to hear it bro.

After my thrombectomy I was shocked at how great I felt. The body can run on fumes apparently.

good to see you two celebrating your successful procedures.

Didn’t hear about the Mannies dinner. Here’s my dinner story,

The Local just opened in Watertown. They have now served me the best prime fillet mingion I can remember. I buy prime beef from Snake River Farms. I think The Local gets theirs from Goodwin, SD. I’ll ask the owner, he waits tables. Don’t forget the wedge salad. They make the dressing. Top shelf bourbon and cocktails, mixologist in tails. Deserts. Of course!

The wine list is basic, good and reasonably priced. this food is NOT coming off the Sysco trucks.

They have served me this meal twice in a row. Both times A1. Remarkable.

They only have 10 tables or so. Call ahead. They open at 5 for a few hours.except Sundays and Mondays.

What's the name of the place?
Not that we go out often, we recently ate at Country Road Barn for the first time.

Never heard of the Country Road Barn, unless it’s that place at the Casino turn. County 6 & TH 29 I think? There’s a place in Summit I’ve heard of too.

I wear .my sports coat to The Local. Nobody else does.

I’m ordering the Ward 8 next visit..

Ps. It is at that turn. I see now why they have always been closed. Looks good

While getting ready for surgery had conversations with a few nurses. Said I used to live in the cities along time ago and told them where, plus where I used to work and where I used to party. They all said you dont want to go there anymore. Then they asked where we were staying etc etc. We were cleared for everything. Even down town after dark because we were taking a Uber.

Mannys was very good. The ambiance is old world supper club--steak house. Service is top notch.

The Calamari was excellent, I had the 12oz Fillet, wife had the 16oz bone in ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly.
For a side we had the lobster mac and cheese which was off the hook good and stuffed with lobster.
Dessert I had their house made carrot cake which was HUGE and good. Wife had strawberries and whipped cream.
350.00 not including tip.

I see "the Local" is the former "Harry's". I hadn't realized Harry's had closed. Great burgers!

And, I never knew about Harry’s. The Local has a good looking burger too. I haven’t had it yet but their beef is good. . Saw a few go to tables

Speaking of good burgers. The burger battle was won by Watertown Brewery, also on main across from the chocolate shop. It recently changed hands according to the courtesy driver at Sharps Auto. They have a good light amber lager right now too. The sliders deliver the same good beef in a portion I can handle.

It’s about 70 mile round trip for us. When we do go to town we like to eat out!
