MVFC Week 1

Post by JBB2 »

MVFC
  • NDSU: rebuilt and on the march
  • SDSU: they staggered into second place against FBS hopeful Sac State
  • UND: third with a bullet. The conference is on notice
  • ISU-R: they were giving them 36.5 vs #18 OK. The Red Birds look crisp and sharp in a 35-3 loss
  • USD: from what I saw they don’t have much. Might get better
  • Youngstown State: never count this “State” out.
  • SIU Salukis: showed some juice against an unknown 49-3.
  • UNI: slipped past Butler
  • Sycamores: might be competitive, but lower half of league
  • Murray State: should be comfortable in the cellar
Other notes

Montana State: washout? Did not look good. Hopefully we didn’t see a glimpse of the NDSU Oregon game. Next week against the Jacks will be a tell about both those teams

Tarleton State: another FBS hopeful, FCS state, but this one looks serious.
The NCC is dead. Long live The NCC.

My only comment is that USD's drove down the field with ease twice (one TD, one deflected pass/int) against a respectable Iowa State. Overlooking them could prove hazardous.

The announcers were sure high on Bouman and Pierre early. Maybe those guys can make a difference this season? Here’s how they did. .

und is still 6th or 7th.

K State Defense was jetlagged so bad, they only had 3 days, go on their message board....

if you watch highlight, K State had open WR's by 10 yards all game and gaping holes

und had to use trickery and misdirection to score a couple times.

it was 31-21 and K State could've put it away 38-21 but they let off the gas.
