I knew Brown was never going to make it because he has a stupid name.

Stupid names are usually a pretty good indicator for longevity.

FOOTBALL SCHEDULING ALERT:

Bison football will open 2025 with an early and potentially hot kickoff at The Citadel

The Citadel announced Thursday, May 1 that the football game with North Dakota State will be an 11 a.m. kickoff on Aug. 30.

THE BISON ARE A BIG DEAL:

The school is anticipating a potential record crowd for the game when the Bison come to town. This is the front end of a home-and-home scheduling agreement with the schools. The Citadel will come to Fargo on Sept. 18, 2027. Each team will receive $50,000 to travel.

Pre season poll out here

https://theanalyst.com/2025/05/fcs-foot ... kings-2025

Not surprising the two FBS quality programs are #1 NDSU & #2 MSU. #3 UIW was a surprise
3. UIW Cardinals
  • Final 2024 Record: 11-3, 7-0 Southland; Never-Too-Early Ranking: 3
  • Two Games to Know: Abilene Christian (Sept. 27); Stephen F. Austin (Oct. 4)
  • Notable: The transfer portal gives, but it too often takes away, with wide receiver Roy Alexander and running back Dekalon Taylor spring casualties for coach Clint Killough. The potent offense still boasts All-America receivers in Jalen Walthall and Chedon James
.
They had 3 losses last year
  • SDSU 45-24
  • Saluki’s 35-28
  • SDSU second round 55-14

The conservative nature of the Game Analyzer Mechanism has the Bison a 4 point favorite. Its that close because they produce significant yardage. Unfortunately they don’t score enough and allow too many opponent scores. This is a typical FCS pattern

The difference in virtual field lengths illustrates this point. This game has signs of an SDSU style rout

For excitement I might bring them out a 24 point underdog to The Herd but I expect 12~ if played today.

I think you mean Sacramento (is not a) State.

Imagine planning on spending tens of millions to become a glorified juco.
