Two potent FCS offenses. NDSU has the edge but either of these teams can move the ball and win games. The Bison have a 5 pt edge on this side of the ball but can’t be counted on to cover the 6 points without help from the defense. If it is a shoot-out it should be all Herd.

The glaring weakness: the UND pass defense. Looks like they are prepared to give up 19 to The Herd. The 8 pt edge should give the Bison the momentum to cover 6. The BISON passing game could shred these guys

In a town the size of Grand Forks even the Super Bowl is a tough sell



At UND concern about the officiating is always on the top of the list.

Starting to hear betting lines are opening. I haven’t seen any. Word is BISON -4.5.

I’m not sure if the Sioux fans are as excited about this years Super Bowl as they were a few years ago. That year UND had their Super Bowl hosted in Fargo, a lot like their championship hockey games. They had one of their “best teams in program history” and were paying $500/ticket!

Of course back before UND quit and the rivalry was still a thing in Fargo it was played for the Nickel Trophy Currently NDSU has the Nickel, but poor sports as they are, und quit the series while claiming the trophy and later refusing to surrender same to the victorious BISON. They even paraded it around the State and in typical und fashion, bragged about themselves.

In the mean time the NDSU Football Dynasty re-emerged, UND football victories became rare and this trophy is now the prize when the two great college programs in the Dakotas - NDSU and SDSU The Mighty Land Grants - meet in THE DAKOTA MARKER GAME:
