Travel is starting to be a burden for the schools that left the PAC 12. Maybe it’s not just un_ charging ahead on a half-assed plan. These guys aren’t happy with the Olympic sports travel either and should have known better

Big travel may be ok for football but the Olympic sports face an entirely different reality because of the amount of travel they have to do.

NDSU should probably keep all sports but football in the summit

Ps. They are also questioning the legitimacy of the student athlete. Are they students playing sports while they attend college or are they simply professionals?

NDSU has decided to build the best team they can under the old rules. Players get paid but no revenue sharing.

What does this mean for the FBS now crowd? As I understand the FBS/FCS designation is now meaningless. Any regulation of NCAA caps on roster sizes etc will be done at the conference level.

It’s now the best team you can build on a floating payroll cap currently at 20 million.

They are paid professional athletes playing professional ball in leagues sponsored by tax supported colleges and universities. No more college try, no more mascot high jinks, no more college ball as once played.
