Took a trip to THYB maybe get an ice soccer score. Seems to me they might drop football. The tone has changed. No longer bragging how much better they are, they dream of FCS domination while spinning negative NDSU forecasts.

There are legitimate areas of concern, of course, but this new twist (sign of clinical depression?) amplifies any and all to suit their own personal revenge fantasies they spectacularly failed at getting on the grid iron. In the end und2 was exposed as the paper tiger we knew they were since that first game, a 24-6 Bison win* right on through to the final defeat** on their home field.

The morning check showed a new QB on the roster

Bison offense seems ready. It may not have the scoring potential of 2025 but the QB looks good. His role as a back up concerning but obviously ready. The O-line is sound, WR corps replaced from normal rotation, backfield untested but has talent. No reason to be pessimistic. Not a good time to be boasting. They have a lot of ground to cover.

In 2025 The Bison averaged 213 yds/game rushing, 5.20 yds/carry
74 are on the spring roster. 5.02 yds/carry
In 2025 The Bison averaged 239 yds/game passing, based on QB attempts 11.5 yds/attempt
39 are on the spring roster. 8.56 yds/reception

Conferences are similar:

MVFC averaged 215 yds/game passing. 173 yds rushing
MWC averaged 206 and 163.

That’s it for the offense. A new statistical profile has been developed. It will be tweaked when the fall roster is published for use in opening week prognostications.

Despite a lack of starting experience the group looks good. They could be together for a while with potential to be a powerful bunch. Talented young guys appear ready for the rotation. DT pass rush looks good.

Most were reliable 2025 back ups. 1 solid starter to anchor. Potential for replacing what was lost looks promising. I have a feeling the MWC is a pass first league. NDSU needs a good pass rush. The group is Promising but not proven.

There is no starting experience but plenty of game experience. If they can tackle like last years starters they are right on track. I think the MWC is going to come out throwing. There is a lot to prove for this group. The stats aren’t there yet.
