Can't blame the defense for not seeing a defender and throwing into double coverage on 2nd down. Not arm punt down. And the intentional grounding looked like something lakes would do in a flag football game. They even zoomed in on Carson face and you could see he knows too. Somebody tell lakes. It's over bros. So maybe, as it turns out, the NFL wasn't anti Carson like so many at another forum have stated. (due to religious views, locker room cancer, whatever bullshit they can think of)

Perhaps, he's just an old backup QB that can come in for a game or 2 if need be, but not really the first choice for that situation. More of an "oh shit, our QB got hurt and our backup is a rookie" type of situation. (IE, Vikings)
