At this hour the attack on the stock market is being violently pushed back. This is an amazing development and very encouraging as the smart money is recognizing the value of the new economy emerging in favor of middle America.

Smart.

Why have money tied up in a house if you can do better than the mortgage interest. Everybody pays some rent even when the house is paid off.

Lots of put owners got hammered today. Hope you had calls. Fortunately I was a put seller yesterday. I got surprised by the strong rally and was able to close them out.

How far out do you buy? Do you buy near the money or back off for lower deltas?

Nah I got out last week. I play weekly’s on Monday or Wednesday to Friday if something interesting happens mid week.

I use leaps for hedges but it’s been years since I was in deep enough to need to do that.

The crash as seen on the DJI

The bollenger bands are pinching signaling another move. The price trend, RSI and MACD are pointing bullish. Nobody knows which way it will break. That’s why we have straddles.

High 42;382
Low. 36,611
Close 40;212

Not as bad as they like to make it sound. Stay away from gov controlled businesses like big pharma. They are getting put back into the competitive ring. Hopefully the planned-demic industry has been defanged.

The crash as seen on the SPY

High 570
Low 479
Close. 534

Hardly the end of the world (yet)

Bullish signs can be seen.
  • RSI
  • MACD
  • upward price trend at top of bands above 10, 100 & 200 day MAvgs
normal Bollinger band width,

good volume but showing weakness at end of day, a Friday after a huge week.

Smart money is rich and celebrating the retail investor worried about the future. Just remember the legacy media is lying to you. Buy and hold quality, you’ll be fine, all you do is give it time.
