Despite some cynical reactions the promotion is working. Everyone interested in either team should be happy with that.

Wyo fans in particular seem dismissive, not as much as the small college football fans at the university of North Dakota, but puzzling. Why wouldn’t they want to promote the game into a big deal? A long afternoon on the gridiron in a sold-out Fabulous Fargo Dome might get their attention. 😂

The idea originated with the North Dakota Petroleum council. It’s got the potential to be a big deal. A search revealed lots of coverage sample shown.

I like this idea. Pure evolution. when playing small college ball in D2 it was the Nickel vs und. In FCS the Boarder Marker with South Dakota State. FBS the Battle of the Basins vs University Wyoming!

The trophy

No doubt a hot ticket it has cooled off from last week when 40-40 yard lines halfway up were running $400-$500. Checking at Ticketmaster and Seatgeek a lot under $300 now. It’s been sold out for a while so it’s all resale after resale prices following demand. There are still a few fishing for the top

NDSU -17.5 tightening today from our 18.5 and the original 20.5.

The Bison can cover 10.5. if the Cowboys can get their game 17.5 probably out-of-reach. Wyo fans seem skeptical of the new trophy and despondent about the game. Wyo can keep it close but there’s little chance of victory. They aren’t used to winning either, especially big games.

This one is big, many seem to feel it’s the first FBS game. Everybody else had and FCS feeling

There is also a feeling the Bison can boat race these fellows. That’s possible too, but a little off the spectrum.

They play them because I’m not always right. Wyo has yet to play up to their ability. Taking Bison to cover is the most exciting bet in college ball. This has been one of the most expensive game tickets in the country,

These guys cover the game and tailgate. Reviewing all the events with a special call-out to the band at the Double-Wood.

They say “The Bit” originated in Wyoming. Insulted by huge spread.

Key Stat: Wyo 2-2. NDSU 4-0. Schedules are among the weakest.

Noses out of joint or not the Cowboys are about to enter the FFD. Hope their coaches called Jax.

These teams have the 2nd and 3rd most efficient defenses in the league. Take the under and points. It shouldn’t be a blow out.

NDSU has the second most efficient offense in the league, Wyoming the 4th. That’s why the Bison win.

Upset pays well. Is 820:1 deal of the week?

Current typical game score in the MWC

This table shows the seasons composite score for each team based on GAM formulas. It’s not a prediction rather an interesting comparison

This is from the boys at College Football Ranking

Although NDSUs numbers are significantly better, Wyomings scoring is clearly trending up indicating a closer game than past performance might suggest

It’s now NDSU -16.5/122. Expensive to take comfort in the lower spread.

Wyo fans can get the points for 106.
