It says here NDSU could get to the min 12 million by increases in corporate/media sponsorships (10%~), donors (10%~), student fees (100%) and about 3 million in conference payouts. Ticket price increases might help too.

If they think they can generate revenues justifying the added investments in costs and facilities I think they will accept the upcoming Jan 5 offer Lakes has already announced.
