The harvest is on in a big way. They finally cut the corn fields in back of our house last night. Even with those huge headers it took them a few hours. I can see their lights in the fields to the south now. 150 years ago there would have been dozens of men and equipment as we saw at the Twin Brooks Threshing Show this summer. My Grandmother might have been in the farmhouse cooking for the great bonanza farms again and I could have had one more helping of her loving pancakes.

Overheard and believed to be true.
A mountain west NDSU has far less prestige than a MVFC/FCS perennial champion NDSU.

Our position is the Bison can’t cover and it will go over 54.5. There’s not really enough time left to go over 54.5 but the Herd, a famous second half team might still cover. that’s no guarantee either. They might be lucky to get the win

The Sycamores have always reminded me of those plucky Augi teams from NCC 1.0

Empty stadium. I remember at a Morningside home game Boyd Christensen, great Bison announcer of old, said there were fans there and he would introduce them at halftime

Weather delay 3:30

Oh my, lovely FanDuel. We had 9 games, 3 plays/game for 27 plays. 18 were correct and 18 activate with $2,096 out and $2,839 in for a nice $743 gain. Or 35%. Nice trip to town!

but never follow our advice. We may not be playing. We may not have had our first break through weekend. We may not know a thing about football and we don’t!

I hear this time of year the weather is beautiful in Brookings. Go Bison!!!
