MVFC WEEK 6.
ALL GAMES OCTOBER 4th

* NDSU @ ISU-R.
  • Bison -28/58/43-15
. NDSU #38 in Sagarin this week. Could they be a bowl team.

* SDSU: @ Youngstown.
  • SDSU -9/51/30-21
The Penguins @ 4-1 made a game of it at Michigan State and easily won the other 3. They have a good rushing D but the Jacks will open the game up with the pass
FINAL SDSU 35-30. Youngstown looked good. SDSU couldn’t cover and both teams showed improvement on both sides of the ball.
* UND: @ UNI.
  • UND -9/51/30-21.
UND has not been a good road team but they are running hot. The pass defense is poor but their powerful 427 yard balanced attack should find the UNI weaknesses.
FINAL UND 35-7. The Sioux offense was better than average but the defense really stood out. Of course UNI is another MVFC team looking ahead to Murray State.
* SIU: Indiana State @.
  • SIU -20/64/42-22
SIU has a pretty good FCS football team. Their offense has been putting up 443 yds/game. Unfortunately for the Sycamores their D gives up 473.
FINAL SIU 55-27. Pretty much like the 42-22 game the GAM envisioned. This one went over, SIU won and covered.
* USD: Should easily handle visiting Murray State
……..and they did 49-24

SOUTHERN UTAH @ TARLETON STATE
  • Tarleton -25
    OU 60
    State 45-15
Tarleton State, FBS and MWC hopeful, on a collision course with The BISON, should overwhelm a weak SUU defense with their 450 yard per game average.

States defense gives up about 380 yards/game and allowing a BISON like 12 points/game while the offense is averaging 40+!
FINAL “State” 52 SIU 42. Unexpected shoot-out. If their defense doesn’t improve Tarleton is going to give up a lot of points. At mid-season they may not be up to the level of play of some other top 10 teams seen in some of the other games.

Another couple top ten FCS teams

  • Montana State @ Northern Arizona
    Montana State -4
    OU 58
    Mythical Score Montana State 31-27

This could be a shoot-out. Both offenses put up over 400 yds. NAZ is dependent on the pass. MSU has a good defense. It could be significantly better than NAZ. The Lumberjack passing attack could be stopped and MSU could roll. I think theBobcats can cover.
FINAL: MSU 34-10
The Bobcat offense is on track and looked good but the defense really stepped up. It was under at 54

  • MONTANA @ IDAHO STATE
    MONTANA -4
    OU 66
    Mythical Score 35-31

I expect The 4-0 Grizz to cover say 35-23. The 2-3 Vandals are, statistically, a decent FCS squad with a win over N Co and a 90-0 win over Lincoln Ca.

Here’s a look at the game from BVM sports.

Last year was a classic Bison win over a top 20 Redbirds team. Close at the half it ended in a 42-10 Bison.
